Tulux represents the Swiss values of precision, durability and safety. Tulux ensures these qualities through a series of comprehensive measurements and tests – in its own in-house measurement and testing centre with an integrated, accredited lighting laboratory. The following aspects in particular are tested, ensured and documented:

1. Safety
All SWISS LIGHT CREATIONS are tested to ensure that they are electrically, mechanically and thermally safe.

2. Durability
All Tulux luminaires are subject to protection class testing. They are tested for resistance to dust, solid foreign bodies and water (IP protection) and resistance to heating.

3. Compatibility
All SWISS LIGHT CREATIONS are tested for their electromagnetic compatibility. Tulux determines the immunity to interference and ensures that every luminaire does not influence other devices during operation and does not have any undue repercussions for the power supply.

4. Lighting quality
Through measurements, Tulux ensures that every luminaire corresponds exactly to the required photometric and spectral properties. Luminous flux, light intensity distribution and luminance are measured, as are colour rendering, temperature and location. The operating efficiency of the luminaires is also determined and their photobiological safety is evaluated.

Standards and guidelines
The tests and measurements are based on the following standards and guidelines: Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, EN product safety standards, EN standard for the measurement and presentation of photometric data of lamps and luminaires.
